A new Music Centre for Soweto, South Africa 2007-8 -A feasibility study with Peter Stark.

Tyne Theatre and Opera House 2008 - appointed coordinating consultant to produce development pland for the theatre and a fundrasing strategy for the Tyne Theatre and Opera House Preservation Trust who will become the new owners of the theatre during the year. HLF have awarded a project planning grant of £50,000 towards the costs of the project.

“I’m sure you will already have heard the good news about the HLF application – an award of £550,000. Also last week our ACE Development Plan was accepted for the £450,000 allocated to the project – it apparently received one of the highest ratings of any Lottery Development Plan. It is, and I quote from one of our stakeholders, ‘a remarkable achievement’ particularly given the timeframe and the plethora of funders and stakeholders we were negotiating with. This now means we have all the resources to undertake the capital project - £4.3 million.”

Northumbria University Jan-June 2004 – Project manager The Arts Space Register project.

Northumbria University 2003-4 – Music at Northumbria University – a report scoping opportunities for the University to develop new courses in Music.

Gateshead College July 2004 - Writing co-financing bid to Learning and Skills Council.

Johannesburg Development Agency 2003 – working with the Joint Centre for Cultural Policy and Management at the University of Witwatersrand, the production of a three year business plan for the development of the Newtown Cultural Precinct.

Nelson Mandela Metro 2003, 2004 – working with Artos KPMG, JCCPM, Gapp Architects and IOD – contributed towards cultural venue aspects of a feasibility study into The Statue of Freedom project in Port Elizabeth SA.

Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2004 – training session for venue managers in aspects of financial management.
