An international partnership - based in the arts and culture - between the North East (NE) of England and the Eastern Cape (EC) of South Africa.

The Swallows Partnership / Sihlanganiswa Ziinkonjane is an international partnership – based in the arts and culture - between the North East (NE) of England and the Eastern Cape (EC) of South Africa. Its immediate objective is to develop a mutually agreed programme of arts and more broadly cultural projects between 2008 and 2012.

BDA Ltd has recently become the UK office for the Swallows Partnership and The Swallows Foundation (UK) and the Swallows Foundation (SA) have recently been registered.

Throughout March and April 2010, the Swallows Foundation UK hosted 27 South African artists for a 6 week long residency in the northeast of England.
